Spicy BBQ Wings Recipe
It might be fall but why not have a taste of summer. These hot wings paired with oven roasted sweet corn will most definitely hit the spot. 🤤 Another great thing about this recipe is that it’s made with sustainable meat and produce from Imperfect Foods.
Recipe:
- 2 pounds party wings
- 1/8 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp ancho chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp pink salt
- 1/4 cup self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Primal Kitchen’s Classic BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp Primal Kitchen’s Steak Sauce
- 1 tbsp Cholula Hot Sauce
- 2 ears of sweet corn
- 16 ounces of peanut oil
Instructions:
Soak chicken in a mixture of vinegar and spices for an hour in the fridge.
Once you are ready to take out your chicken to cook, cut off any excess dangling silk from corn husk and place corn in a 375-degree oven as is. It will roast in its husk while you are preparing your chicken and the silk will be easy to remove from the cooked corn.
Now, beat the egg and put it into a bowl with marinated chicken. Then, toss chicken a few pieces at a time in a brown bag with flour. Fry battered chicken, fully immersed, in peanut oil at medium-high temperature for 4 minutes for each batch.
In a separate large bowl mix all 3 sauces together. Place chicken in a bowl and cover thoroughly with the sauce mixture. Then, remove and place the chicken on a baking sheet and bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
Your corn will be hot and ready along with your chicken. Plate and enjoy. This recipe feeds for 2 at around 450 calories per meal. 🤤
