Bars Over Bottles Has Travel Ready Plastic Free Hair Care – Product Review
On nearly every trip I take to the global south I see mounds and mounds of plastic piled up. What’s worse is that I’m painfully ware that every day travelers are contributing to this plastic problem by discarding tons on empty, and even unused, travel toiletries. I too used to be big on having tiny bottles of everything but after seeing the devastation it is causing to our world, I’ve decided to try and live as plastic free as possible and that includes when I travel.
In a recent artifice by Zerra & Co., they write that “it’s estimated that the global beauty industry produces more than 120 million units of packaging each year, and packaging accounts for 70% of the industry’s waste. Just in the U.S, 7.9 billion units of rigid plastic were created for the cosmetic industry.”
I travel a lot, nearly every month, and I have natural thick coilly hair. Although, I absolutely must have great hair care products, I don’t want to travel with loads of plastic bottles that will only contribute to the pollution of the planet. For years, it been nearly impossible to find a solution to this problem. However, now I can happily say that the problem is solved. Finally, I’ve found a great plastic free product for my hair that’s travel-friendly. 🥳

Absolutely no plastic at all. However, I bought these cute little carrying tins to take my bars with me on my travels. I plan to be using these for a long time.
