Digital Storytelling Lets Me Build My Own Room
If the room does not make space for your voice, sometimes you have to build your own. Digital storytelling gives me that possibility. A website can become an archive, a magazine, a classroom, and a home for stories that deserve more room.
Ownership changes the energy
When I own my platform, I can experiment, publish, revise, and keep building without waiting for permission. That matters for culture work.
This connects with digital storytelling and independent voices and Black women storytellers. Voice is not decoration. It is power.
Tools should serve the voice
Resources from my Amazon shop can support the work, but tools are never the whole story. The heart is honesty, structure, and point of view.
The bigger lesson is that building my own room gives me the freedom to decide what deserves to be centered.
