11th Annual DC Beer Week Kicks Off September 8!
Official DC Beer Week Calendar Live at DCBeerWeek.net
September 3, 201809 – Washington D.C. – The DC Brewers’ Guild (DCBG) is proud to announce the 11th Annual DC Beer Week (DCBW) will take place th – 15th, 2019. This annual event will be packed with events at local breweries, taverns, restaurants and other locations to celebrate craft beer, beer culture, and D.C.’s growing brewery scene. This year’s DCBW will include a great variety of events, including the official release of our annual Solidarity Brew at our Kickoff Party at Bluejacket, our first ever DC Beer Week “Fun Run,” some friendly competitions for bragging rights among area brewers, tap takeovers and food pairings, interesting educational events, and our annual home-brewing competition. Throughout the week, event attendees will have the opportunity to sample hundreds of delicious, unique beers, not often available in the local market. The full event schedule and other useful information can be found at the DCBW website at www.dcbeerweek.net. Event listings and other details will be available to users of the TaptIn App, the official smartphone application of DC Beer Week. Proceeds raised during DCBW support the activities of the DC Brewers’ Guild throughout the year.
“This year’s DC Beer Week is shaping up to be our best ever,” says Paul J. Dean, Executive Director of the DC Brewers’ Guild. “I am excited that many of our long-standing partners will continue to host traditional annual DCBW events, while at the same time, several newer breweries and restaurants in our community have come up with some unique events.”
“I am also thrilled to have fantastic media partnerships with DC 101, DCBeer.com and On-Tap Magazine to help promote DC Beer Week. Their contributions to DCBW will undoubtedly provide valuable exposure to our events. In addition, without the support of our corporate sponsors – DC United, Bar Track, REI, Small Batch Standard, the Brewers Association of America, American Pest, Liquid Integrity, Prometrix, and the Independent Brewers Alliance – DC Beer Week would not be possible.”
The DC Brewer’s Guild urges DCBW participants to follow our social media accounts to stay up-to-date on events at: | Instagram: @dcbeerweek | Twitter: @DCBeerWeek | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DCBeerWeek/, and download the TaptIn App.
