I am learning to ask for what I need. Not hint. Not over-explain. Not hope someone notices and then resent them when they do not.
The Question I Used to Avoid

Need Is Not a Character Flaw
Need is not a character flaw. That connects with women and rest and Black women storytellers. Women, especially women used to carrying a lot, deserve language for our own needs.
Women Deserve Clear Requests Too

Practicing Without Apology

Practicing without apology is the work. I do not need to turn every need into a courtroom defense. Sometimes the truth is enough.
