Pamplona Pre-Camino: Pilgrims, Hostels, and New Friends

Arriving in Pamplona, I finally felt the Camino coming to life. The city welcomed me with winding streets, lively plazas, and a sense of history. But what made my Pamplona pre-Camino experience so special was the people.

I checked into a cozy hostel where the air was buzzing with excitement. Pilgrims from all over the world were unpacking their bags, comparing gear, and sharing stories. It felt like a little family forming overnight.

A Cozy Hostel and New Community

I checked into a cute apartment-style hostel with 3 individual beds, and backpacks lining the walls. It might not sound glamorous, but to me, it was magic. Pilgrims from all over the world were settling in, sharing stories, and laughing.

My roommate, Kristin, and I connected instantly, Libra babies!!! We decided to head downstairs for dinner together, and sharing what we had to make a simple meal, becoming fast friends. That’s the beauty of the Camino. It strips away the small talk and goes straight to what matters. Sharing Dinner with Kristin

That evening, I had dinner with my roommate, Kristin. We talked for hours about our lives, our reasons for walking, and what we hoped to discover along the way. There’s something about the Camino that brings out honesty and connection so quickly. Over good food and laughter, I felt a bond that reminded me why community matters so much on this path.

A Perfect Beginning

The Pamplona pre-Camino experience gave me everything I needed before stepping onto the trail. Friendship, comfort, and the reassurance that I wasn’t walking alone.

The next morning, I was ready to head toward Saint Jean, full of gratitude and excitement for the adventure ahead.
